Tilting Paper

One of the things Learning to Write Chinese Characters emphasizes which I’ve been having difficulty with is keeping the paper straight. English writers slant the paper and it’s perfectly acceptable to slant the writing as well. It is very important that the Shu4 (豎) strokes be straight up and down, which is hard to accomplish when the paper is tilted.
