Lamenting Skadi
AppleCare on Skadi, my Titanium PowerBook G4, runs out in twenty days. I’ve loved no computer as much as I’ve loved this PowerBook, but it’s almost time for her to go. Apparently PowerBooks of this model are still selling for about $900 on ebay. That is frankly quite crazy.
I can’t wait to get a laptop with built-in Bluetooth and 802.11g. That will be nice.
Dang. Titaniums are still going for $900?!
But I know what you mean. I could put aside my Dell without much of a pang, but Pixel — my 1Ghz Titanium Powerbook — is in many ways still my brain. I no longer use it as my desktop, but it’s still very dear to me.
