Going to CHI 2006

Filed under chi2006 on Tuesday, 28 February 2006 at 11:00.

One of my group projects (started by Purin) was accepted for display in the CHI Student Design Competition, so I will be attending CHI 2006 in April.

Apparently this year CHI has a blog and is requesting trackbacks, so that’s what I’m doing now. I also created a “chi 2006″ category for my blog.

  1. Congratulations, Julian! I’d be curious to know what the project was.

  2. I’m free to talk about it, just haven’t gotten around to putting more details on the page I linked. :)

  3. Cool!

Funny how the CHI blog has unreadably small and light-colored text :P

  4. At this point I’d guess most people’s browsers have the font sizes set quite large since so many web sites set the fonts to be so small. (Particularly since IE preferred that people use “small” instead of “medium”) Just a guess, though.

It would explain why people complain about my web site’s font size. It’s currently set to just use whatever size the user has set (rather than specifying a point size or a keyword, both of which are interpreted differently on different platforms)

  5. Awesome!
