Lately I’ve been finding more and more sites offering usability or human-computer interaction news. Planet HCI is a nice conglomeration of news, but it’s not all that well-filtered (there will often be a lot of repetition or news items which don’t apply, as with any Planet without flitering). One of the classes I was fortunate enough to take this semester was entitled Computer-Mediated Communication. Susan Fussell taught it. The class helped me gain a much greater understanding of the academic world which does research on the very things I’ve spent a lot of time designing outside of academia. I enjoyed the class.
